How to Pay at Restore

Credit / Debit Card

Pay with a debit or credit card. Here is how it works and why it looks a little different from a typical checkout.

New to this? You do not need to know anything about crypto. You choose a payment company you already recognize, like Stripe or PayPal, enter your card the way you would anywhere online, and we get paid. It takes a few minutes.

Why does card payment run through an "onramp"?

Because of the restrictive nature of our industry, traditional card processors do not allow research chemical sales. An onramp is the way we are able to offer card payments anyway.

An onramp is a licensed payment service that lets you buy digital currency with your everyday card. It converts your card payment and delivers it to us automatically, so you pay with a card and you do not need a crypto wallet or any crypto experience.

We work with several onramp providers. The options shown in your payment window depend on your location, so you may not see every provider below. Here is what to expect from each:

Stripe most familiarPay with a card or Apple Pay. Stripe verifies identity up front: name, address, photo ID, and for US buyers a Social Security number.

PayPalPay with your PayPal balance, or a bank account or card linked to PayPal. If your PayPal account is already verified, there is usually little extra to complete.

CoinbasePay with a card, your bank (ACH), or a Coinbase balance. Existing Coinbase users can skip re-verification. Guest checkout may ask for ID on larger orders (roughly $1,000 and up).

Cash AppPay with your Cash App account if it is offered to you. Verification requirements are set by Cash App.

Already have an account? If you already use PayPal or Coinbase, choose that one. Existing, verified accounts usually skip most of the verification steps, which makes checkout much faster.

About verification (KYC): at a minimum, providers ask for your name, email, phone number, and address, and some also ask for photo ID. This is a regulatory requirement of the provider, not something we ask for, and it varies by provider and order size. If one provider asks for more than you are comfortable sharing, try another, or use Zelle, Cash App, Pay by Bank, or crypto instead.

About fees: each provider sets its own fees and exchange rate, and the total is shown to you before you confirm. Onramp fees vary by provider and payment method and are usually higher than a standard card purchase. Paying from a bank account is generally cheaper than paying by card. If you would rather avoid onramp fees altogether, Zelle, Cash App, Pay by Bank, and crypto below do not use an onramp.

Allow pop-ups for our siteYour secure payment window opens in a pop-up. If nothing appears, tap the pop-up blocked icon in your browser's address bar and choose "Always allow," then try again.
Choose an onramp providerPick from the options shown for your location. If you already have a PayPal or Coinbase account, that is usually the quickest choice.
Sign in or enter your emailSign in if you already have an account with that provider. Otherwise, enter your email to create a quick profile and receive a one-time code.
Complete verification if askedExpect to confirm your name, phone number, and address. Some providers also ask for photo ID or, for US buyers, a Social Security number. What is required depends on the provider and order size.
Enter your card and confirmAdd your card details in the secure window and approve the payment.
Wait for the confirmation pageKeep the window open until you see your order confirmation. We also email you a receipt.

Your privacy: your card number and any identity details are entered with the provider you choose, not on our website, and we never see or store them.

If the payment window is stuck or blank:

Turn off any pop-up blocker or ad blocker for this site.
Try a different browser (Chrome or Safari usually work best).
Do not tap Back or refresh in the middle of a payment.

If your payment is declined or fails:

Some banks block card purchases that go through an onramp. Approve any alert in your banking app, or call the number on your card, then try again.
Go back to your cart and choose a different provider. Each provider is separate, so one can work when another does not.
You can always switch to Zelle, Cash App, Pay by Bank, or crypto instead.

Zelle

Send payment straight from your bank's app using Zelle.

Choose Zelle at checkoutFill in your shipping details, select Zelle, and place your order.
Note the payment details on your order pageYou will see the exact amount and the Zelle recipient. Use only the details shown on your own order page.
Send the payment in your bank's appOpen Zelle in your banking app and send the exact amount to the recipient shown. In the memo or note field, enter your order number only.
Confirm on the order pageFollow the on-screen prompt to let us know you have paid. Your order is processed as soon as we confirm your payment.

About the memo / note: please type your order number and nothing else. Do not include product names or a description of your order. Your order number is all we need to match your payment.

Stay safe:

Only send money to the recipient shown on your order page or in your order confirmation email.
We will never message you on social media or Telegram and ask you to pay a different account. If someone does, it is not us.
Send the exact amount. Sending the wrong amount can delay your order.

Cash App

Pay with the Cash App balance or linked card you already have.

Choose Cash App at checkoutFill in your shipping details, select Cash App, and place your order.
Follow the payment promptYou will see the exact amount and where to send it. Use only the details shown on your own order page.
Approve the payment in Cash AppOpen Cash App and confirm the amount and recipient. In the "For" note field, enter your order number only.
Confirm on the order pageFollow the on-screen prompt to let us know you have paid. Your order is processed as soon as we confirm your payment.

About the note: please type your order number and nothing else. Do not include product names or a description of your order. Your order number is all we need to match your payment.

Tip: double-check the recipient name before you tap Pay. Cash App payments are instant and generally cannot be pulled back once sent.

Pay by Bank (ACH via Link Payments)

Pay straight from your checking account with an ACH bank transfer. No card number needed.

Choose Link Payments at checkoutFill in your shipping details, select the bank payment option, and place your order.
Allow pop-ups if askedYour secure bank connection opens in a small window.
Find your bank and sign inSearch for your bank and log in with your normal online banking details.
Choose your account and approveSelect the account to pay from, review the amount, and confirm.
See your confirmationWhen the window closes, you will land on your order confirmation page and receive an email.

Security: your bank login is entered with the secure bank-connection service, and we never see or store your banking credentials.

Pay with Crypto (NOWPayments)

Crypto payments are processed securely by NOWPayments. Never used crypto before? This walks you through it from start to finish. If you already hold crypto, jump to Part 2.

Part 1: Get some crypto (first-timers)

Set up an account with a reputable exchange or wallet appDownload a well-known app from your official app store, sign up, and complete its identity check. This is done by that app, not by us, and it can take anywhere from a few minutes to a day.
Add funds and buy a coinLink your bank or card inside that app and buy the coin you plan to pay with. Buy a little more than your order total to cover network fees.

Which coin? Stablecoins like USDC or USDT stay at about one US dollar, so the value will not move while you are paying. Bitcoin, Litecoin, and others work too, but their price can shift between buying and sending.

Part 2: Pay for your order

Choose Crypto at checkoutFill in your shipping details, select Crypto, and place your order.
Pick your coin and networkOn the payment screen, select the coin you bought. If it offers several networks (for example, Ethereum or Tron for USDT), choose the same network you will send on.
Copy the address and exact amountYou will see a wallet address, a QR code, and the exact amount to send. Use the copy buttons or scan the QR code from your app. Never type it by hand.
Send it from your appIn your exchange or wallet, choose Send or Withdraw, paste the address, select the matching network, and enter the amount. Exchanges take their own withdrawal fee, so raise the amount you send until the full order amount will arrive.
Wait for confirmationCrypto payments need a few network confirmations. You can leave the page open or close it, and your order updates automatically once the payment is confirmed. We also email you.

Avoid the three most common mistakes:

Wrong network. The network you send on must match the one on the payment screen exactly. Funds sent on the wrong network can be lost.
Wrong coin. Only send the coin you selected at checkout.
Sending too little. An underpaid order may not complete automatically, and crypto sent in error generally cannot be pulled back by us. Always send the full amount shown, and pay soon after the payment screen appears because rates can lock for only a short time.

Payment FAQ

My payment window did not open. What now?

It is almost always a pop-up blocker. Allow pop-ups for our site, turn off any ad blocker, and try again. Trying another browser also fixes most cases.

Why does the card option go through an "onramp"?

Because of the restrictive nature of our industry, traditional card processors do not support it. Onramp providers such as Stripe, PayPal, Cash App, and Coinbase let you pay while the payment is delivered to us automatically. You do not need a crypto wallet.

Why am I asked to verify my identity with the card option?

Onramp providers are licensed and required by financial regulations to verify who is paying, and what they ask for varies by provider. It is handled entirely by the provider. If you would rather skip it, try a different provider, or pay with Zelle, Cash App, Pay by Bank, or crypto instead.

Do you store my card or bank details?

No. Card, bank, and identity details are entered with the payment providers, not on our site.

I paid but my order still shows as pending.

Card and bank payments usually update within minutes. Crypto needs network confirmations, and Zelle or Cash App payments are marked paid once we confirm receipt. If it has been a while, email [email protected] with your order number and a screenshot or transaction ID.

I sent the wrong amount or used the wrong network in crypto.

Contact us right away with your order number and transaction ID. We will do what we can, but crypto transfers cannot be reversed, so double-check the coin, network, and amount before you send.

Will you ever ask me to pay outside of checkout?

No. Always pay using the details shown on your own order page or confirmation email. Ignore anyone claiming to be us who asks for payment elsewhere.
